The British
Community Council
The Council was
formed in 1942 and represents all sections of the British Community in
Istanbul. Its role is to coordinate the various activities and
interests within the community. The purpose of the Council is, amongst
other matters, to foster British – Turkish relations, including
cultural, educational and supporting good
causes.
What's new and what's news
The BCC now uses MYBILET for all ticketing
Tickets can be obtained from any Gloria Jean's coffee shops
(just pop in and buy them) or from DNR or any normal Mybilet outlets. Alternatively on-line from:

Change of Chairman
Michael Asher was elected
Chairman of the Council on 8th January 2009 to replace Simon Cole who
stood down at the end of his term. Michael thanked Simon for all his
good efforts on behalf of the BCC and briefly mentioned just some of
what the Council had achieved during the period.
It is the duty of the Council
to elect the new Officers each year after the AGM and Michael was subsequently
re-elected.
