About Us
The British Community Council represents all sections of the British and Commonwealth Community in Istanbul. The Council co-ordinates various activities and interests within and for the Community. Funds raised by the Council are used to support further community activities, supporting Commonwealth Citizens and Turks in need and fostering British-Turkish relations. read more >>
What We do
The BCC in addition to supporting community events and activities, provides relief for eligible pensioners, victims of any tragic circumstances and provides aid to appropriate charities in Istanbul. BCC representatives visit elderly citizens on a regular basis as part of a social-interaction programme, provide guidance to Turkish charities with their own international fund-raising activities and seek to broaden understanding through interaction.
It raises funds from direct sponsorship and through activities which involve international connections and events. In so doing, it furthers understanding between different peoples and cultures and faiths. read more >>
